Who are The Green Eyed Globetrotters?

We’re Eve and Nick (aka The Green Eyed Globetrotters), thank you for visiting our site.

If you love adventure, but can’t or don’t want to travel for several months on end, you’re in the right place! Not everyone can or wants to quit their job to travel the world and we want to normalise this.

You can still have adventures on weekends and on your time off. We both love our jobs but equally love to explore new places, especially if hiking is involved so why not have both! In our posts we share our love for adventure and hope they inspire you to follow your dreams and see the world at your own pace.

We met as students and bonded over our shared love for adventure, since then we have explored so many new countries together and discovered our love of multi-day hiking. Despite now both working full time jobs (which can’t be remote), we have managed to visit over 45 countries between us and even got married on a mountain in Canada! There’s not a day that goes by where we aren’t dreaming of or planning our next adventure.

Our goal is to travel and explore the world together and believe authentic, immersive travel can be a truly life changing experience, there’s more to travel than cocktails by the pool. We are always looking for our next adventure, whether that’s hiking through Triglav National Park, Snowshoeing in Zermatt or visiting the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone. Where will we be using our annual leave next?

What makes us unique as a couple and bloggers is that individually we both have very different skills and backgrounds. Nick’s the history buff and passionate about nature whilst Eve is the photographer and planner!

Nick’s a Chartered Geologist and currently works as a Geotechnical Engineer and freelance Mountain Leader, meaning when he’s not in the office he’s out in the mountains!

Eve studied Fine Art and Stage Management and currently works in TV production. She has backpacking experience and has since been lucky enough to work around the world.

Combining Eve’s creativity with Nick’s passion for the world, we make the perfect partnership to share our love for adventure!

Hello I’m Nick!

My sense of adventure was ignited as a youngster when I was fortunate to visit some incredible places such as Mount Etna, Santorini, Pompeii and Stromboli on family holidays. You may see a pattern emerging here…

I studied geology at university which allowed me to travel some spectacular places across the UK and Europe.

Since then, most of free time has been spent roaming the hills of the UK and beyond, with the odd cultural experience thrown in....

I'm a qualified Mountain Leader, chartered geologist and just love being outdoors!

Hi I’m Eve!

I became addicted to travel at 16 years old, I headed to the jungles of Mexico and Belize on a month-long trekking expedition with World Challenge. A truly life changing experience and something I'll never forget.

Whilst at university, I spent the summers working at a Performing Arts Camp in New England and then used my earnings to travel America afterwards.

Since then, Nick and I have been on some amazing trips together and I’ve had the opportunity to travel to both Hong Kong and Singapore with work.
